
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The National Junior College Athletic Association is pleased to announce that this year’s national champion in football will be decided on the field and not via a final poll. The committee of the Citizens Bank Bowl has successfully negotiated with the NJCAA for the right to have the contest declared the 2009 NJCAA Football Championship Game per NJCAA by-laws.
The contest will matchup No. 1 Fort Scott Community College (Kan.) against No. 2 Blinn College (Texas) on Dec. 6 at Pittsburg State University’s Carnie Smith Stadium in Pittsburgh, Kan.
Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. (Central) and fans will be able to watch the action LIVE via video stream on NJCAA TV (www.njcaa.org/tv). Live audio will also be available on ESPN Radio 1340 AM in Pittsburgh.
