Over 350 Planned Parenthood Supporters RSVP For "Open" Town Hall Meeting

On Thursday, September 3 there will be a Town Hall Meeting on Health Care Reform headlined by Representative Sheila “Not now, I’m on the phone” Jackson Lee, Representative Gene Greene and other elected Democrats from Harris County. Both Planned Parenthood and President Obama’s “Organizing For America – BarackObama.com” have sent out notices asking people to attend. There has been heavy news coverage of these public meetings ever since members of the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House first began holding Town Halls during their “Summer Break” from Congress. Democrats have been inundated by angry, fed-up, constituents all across the nation at these Town Hall meetings.

Those citizens who have turned out to protest, to exercise their rights as Americans, have been characterized by the Democrats as “mobs” and the Democrats have widely accused the protests and protesters of being “Astro turf” rather than “grassroots”. The Dems have been all over the place accusing the GOP of organizing the protests, no wait, it’s the insurance companies that are doing it – no wait, it’s “other” special interests – no wait, it’s that vast right-wing conspiracy at it again.

The Democratic party, and its leaders from Howard Dean (Chairman of The DNC), to Speaker-of-the-House and wannabe Prime Minister, Nancy Pelosi to Senate Majority Leader Harry (I’m how far behind in the polls?) Reid to President Obama have chosen to “blame” everyone in the phone book for the turnout of protesters at Town Hall meetings. Liberal lover of all the little people, California Senator (“Call me Senator”) Barbara Boxer blew the lid off the conspiracy when she noted that the protesters couldn’t possibly be real because they were well dressed. The horror! Well-dressed people posing as “You” the public.

Now, as a Town Hall meeting has been set for this Thursday at 6:30 pm at Houston City Hall’s Reflection Pool, it is being learned that there is indeed an organized attempt to “pack the crowd” with biased and politically motivated operatives in order to skew the public perception of what the real people (those poorly dressed “real people”) really think. That organized, shall we dare say “Astro turf” movement, is being spearheaded by the following groups: ACORN, SEIU (Service Employees International Union), MoveOn.Org, Planned Parenthood and no less than President Obama’s own “Organizing For America”. The interesting thing about “Organizing For America” is that you’ll find it at the following URL: http://www.barackobama.com. This is because what was once the official website of the Obama campaign is now a new group “Organizing For America”. Given the past function of the site and the URL, is it perhaps safe to assume that the organizing being done is less for America and more for Obama? You make the call.

Planned Parenthood’s zeal to pack the Town Halls and skew the conversation is so evident that they’re changing the language in terms of what these “Health Care Town Halls” are and are attempting to present them as something entirely different. Planned Parenthood does not urge its like-minded supporters to show up and support “Health Care Reform”; instead PP says that people need to turn out to support “Reproductive Rights in the Health Care Bill”. On the Planned Parenthood website they further assert that those of you who have been protesting the government takeover of health care are not concerned individuals, but are actually part of “Anti-choice groups” who have “geared up for an all-out assault on women's health care. They're using the reform negotiations to pursue their number one goal: preventing women from accessing comprehensive reproductive health care, from birth control to abortion.” So remember, you’re not an individual speaking up for your rights.  You’re part of an “Anti-choice group”, and you’re not trying to protect your own individual rights to health care, and oddly enough “choice”, you’re actively trying to prevent women from accessing comprehensive reproductive care. Got all that?

These groups are so zealously in pursuit of people to pack the meetings that they even contacted John Faulk, the conservative Republican who announced on August 24 that he is running against Sheila Jackson Lee for Congress in the 18th Congressional District.

Faulk’s response: “Come stand up with me to fight to stop Socialized Health Care this Thursday at Houston City Hall.” Look for Mr. Faulk when you show up at the Town Hall Meeting. He’s the real deal.

Remember, despite ACORN, and the best efforts of a powerful union (SEIU), despite Planned Parenthood’s mischaracterization of you and what you believe, and despite your own President’s attempts to bully you and stack the deck again you, you still have rights in this country. Free Speech is one of the most fundamental of those rights.

The Cypress Times urges all citizens, in agreement with or disagreement with the Socialization of Health Care, to show up on Thursday night. Let your unique voice be heard. Do not allow the organized socialist movement to shout you down. Do not allow the media to diminish your opinion or to drown out your voice. Exercise your rights vigorously. Stand with fellow Americans. Stand with fellow Patriots like John Faulk and the others who will be there, not because they were bussed in, or because they were organized and given talking points, but because they care. Stand with your fellow Americans who have taken the time away from Sports Center and Entertainment Tonight in order to read the bills now being proposed to drastically forever change the way you receive health care in this country. Stand up and be counted, even if it causes your own Congress, Senate and White House to attack you.
