DEBRA MEDINA, REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE FOR GOVERNOR OF TEXAS, ROLLS OUT FIRST GOVERNOR’S RACE SPANISH-LANGUAGE TV SPOTS

Austin - The Medina For Texas campaign announces it will launch the first in a series of Spanish-language television spots that will air this month on the highly rated Univision network. The spots will begin airing, November 7 in the Rio Grande Valley (Harlingen, Brownsville, McAllen), Corpus Christi and Laredo, as Debra Medina launches her South Texas Tour.

“True to our word that the Medina For Texas campaign will reach out to all Texans in the Governor’s race, the Medina For Texas campaign has produced 30 and 60 second television spots in order to share the message of freedom with the Latino communities across the state,” says Penny Langford Freeman, Campaign Manager. "Texas has a very diverse heritage, but all Texans expect our leaders to be accountable and responsible to the people. We are taking the message to the people."

The spots main points touch on Debra understanding the struggles Texans experience. Unlike her competitors, who neither truly understands We Texans, nor our everyday challenges. The spot demonstrates how Debra is an average Texan; she’s a hard working person, mother, and active member of her community. The spots also touch on common shared values such as love of family, commitment to hard work and strength in faith.

"Bringing our message to the Spanish-speaking community that there is a candidate who can and will represent all Texans has always been a priority to the Medina campaign," says Langford Freeman. "Latinos comprise 35% of the population, that's more than one out of three people in Texas. That's a strong voice that will be heard and we want them to be on board the Medina For Texas train."

In addition to Univision, the campaign has purchased airtime on CNN and FOX News, which also airs in the same markets.
