HOUSTON --- Jeff Daiell, a candidate for the 2010 Libertarian nomination
for Governor of Texas, will meet with Travis County Libertarians
on May 20th at their weekly lunch meeting. The meeting, which starts at 11:30 AM, will be held at:
Player's 300
W. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. (at Guadalupe) Austin, Texas.
Assistant Director of Research for the campaign, Karen
Stack, noted, "Jeff offers solutions that include details;
which can actually be achieved in the next gubernatorial
term. He doesn't promise to enact changes a Texas
Governor would not be allowed to make and which a Texas Legislature
would refuse to make." Stack, a Travis County
attorney, joined the campaign after watching Daiell's performance
during the Libertarian
Gubernatorial Debate held earlier this year.
Editorial
Consultant Bobbi Schwartz added, "Jeff is the only
candidate for the nomination who has run an active
Statewide race. He knows what it takes to campaign
effectively in a State this large, and how to build a
Statewide campaign organization."
Daiell holds the
record for the most votes, and the highest percentage by a
Libertarian nominee for Governor of Texas. Daiell's platform combines support for free enterprise with respect
for civil liberties. Several planks are already posted at the
campaign's website, www.JeffDaiell.com. The campaign
also has three separate Facebook pages (Daiell for Governor), and
is on Twitter (WeAreTexans).
Gubernatorial debates with Perry, White and Jeff Daiell. A lot of Texans will realize that there is a better, workable option for governing Texas rather than the traditional R/D conglomerate.
