Students Will Hear Intro to Libertarianism, How Washington Caused the Recession.
(Houston) - Jeff Daiell, a candidate for the 2010 Libertarian nomination for Governor of Texas, will address classes at two Greater Houston colleges next week. The instructor will allow non-students to attend.
On Tuesday, November 17th, he will address Government students at the Sugar Land campus of Wharton County Junior College. The 7:05 PM class, taught by Jon Ellison, will hear "Respecting the Rights of Individuals", an introduction to the Libertarian philosophy. The 8:25 class will hear "Made in Washington", which details how Federal policies, not the free market, triggered the current recession. Both classes will meet in Room 161; the street address is 14004 University Blvd, Sugar Land.
On November 18th, the same two speeches will be given at HCCS in Missouri City (5855 Sienna Springs Way). The first will be presented to Mr. Ellison's 5 PM Government class in Room 206; the second, in the same room, to the 7 PM Government class. Daiell holds the record for the most votes, and the highest percentage, by a Libertarian nominee for Governor of Texas. In his current race, he has campaigned in 21 counties, with more scheduled. Daiell's platform combines support for free enterprise with respect for civil liberties. Several planks are already posted at the campaign's website, www.JeffDaiell.com. The campaign also has two separate Facebook pages (Daiell for Governor), and is on Twitter (WeAreTexans).
