DAIELL CAMPAIGN TAPS NEW YORK TIMES CO. EDITOR BRANDON DE HOYOS AS MEDIA CONSULTANT

Campaign Manager Says Prestigious Appointment Shows Campaign Gaining Steam

(Houston) - The Jeff Daiell for Governor Campaign proudly announces the appointment of Brandon De Hoyos as Media Consultant. Mr. De Hoyos has almost a decade of experience as a journalist and political writer, and is in his third year as an editor for the New York Times Co.

Previously, Mr. De Hoyos was the elections director and political beat writer for the Sun newspapers in Houston (2005-2007), and Examiner.com in 2008. Mr. De Hoyos has worked on eleven (11) political campaigns throughout Texas and the United States.

Accepting the appointment, Mr. De Hoyos said, "It is an honor and privilege to be working alongside Texas's commanding Libertarian stalwart."

Mr. De Hoyos's duties will be advising on news releases and relations with news media. Campaign Manager Christie Cole-Pearson said of the appointment, "This shows that the Jeff Daiell is picking up steam. Individuals with such credentials as Mr. De Hoyos brings to our effort do not affiliate with campaigns they consider anemic or irrelevant. Mr. Perry and Mr. White: if Jeff Daiell wins the Libertarian nomination, you'll have a fight on your hands!"

Daiell holds the record for the most votes, and the highest percentage, by a Libertarian nominee for Governor of Texas. In his current race, he has campaigned in 24 counties, with more scheduled. Daiell's platform combines support for free enterprise with respect for civil liberties. Several planks are already posted at the campaign's website, www.JeffDaiell.com. The campaign also has two separate Facebook pages (Daiell for Governor), and is on Twitter (WeAreTexans).

Thanks for the coverage!
I appreciate the coverage of the campaign. Texans need to know all of their choices, not just those annointed by the Establishment news media.
