OBAMA CALLS YOU "EXTREMIST", "UN-AMERICAN", AND "TEA-BAGGERS"

From The American Patriotic Commission –

President B. Hussein Obama is to be condemned and must apologize to the GOP and to all Americans who opposed his health care bill. The NY Times, the great bastion of liberal idealism reports that President B. Hussein Obama called those who opposed his health care bill Saturday "Un-American" and 'Tea Baggers'.

Here is the exact quote: “Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care? All it will do is confuse and dispirit Democratic voters “and it will encourage the extremists.”

Those who oppose Dear Leader are Un-American, Tea Baggers and Extremists.

President Obama, you owe the majority of America a public apology. You can call it a "teachable moment" or a "photo op", but it is an excuse for the man-child president to be on TV again.

Disgraceful!
I'm a 58 year old male and had never even heard of the term "teabagging."

I learned from Anderson Cooper on CNN while he was bashing the Tea Party Patriots, that it was a vulgar and sickening homosexual act where a man places his scrotum in the mouth of another man.

My God! This word is worse than the "N" word or the "R" words. And for the POTUS to use it to describe any American is absolutely disgraceful!

This is the first time I can remember where my President made me ashamed to be an American.

You're absolutely right. People who oppose the health care bill are not extremists. In fact, hurling bricks through windows, sending threatening faxes, cutting gas lines and leaving profanity laced threats on voicemail are not the acts of extremists. They are simply the informed, educated and constructive methods of opening a dialogue with Democrats. Why else would the Republican leadership wait a couple of days to denounce such tactics.

stop socialism
Please support your Republicans in congress and work to pass bills that would revoke social security, medicare, and unemployment benefits. We cannot be sincere about using the term anti-socialism without focusing on existing socialism.

I think this "article" is what one would refer to as grasping at straws. He equates " anti-government" with " anti- American" which is actually rather ironic considering that the teabag movement likes to call themselves "Real Americans" implying that other more moderate ( logical ? ) citizens are not " real ". I think the author sees the world through orange pekoe glasses.

I missed the parts where he said "teabagger" or "un-American".
In your quote, he refers to teabags (which the tea party movement happily carries), not teabagging (which we probably all understand by now).

He never mentions in your quote that they are "un-American". Is that in some part you're not quoting?

As for him owing "the majority of America" an apology for calling them "extremist" - You're not the majority of America. There isn't a single poll done by anybody, right or left, that suggests that you are anything other than a (vocal) minority.

After all, if you were the majority, you would surely not be seeing Obama in the Oval Office and Democrats controlling both houses of Congress (with, as of last week, a slightly increased House majority).
