The glee on Anderson Cooper's face was unmistakable. Charlie Gibson, Katie Couric, and that fathead from NBC are probably still up partying. A hearty fourth of July celebration? No, much better than that for the liberal left and their attack dog media: Sarah Palin has resigned.
Chris Matthew's arms must be sore to the bone from patting himself on the back. Keith Olbermann has probably passed out from a sudden unexpected, and heretofore, never experienced sensation of happiness.
N.O.W. and all the other so-called "women's groups" are giddy beyond their wildest belief. They've managed to beat down a woman. A strong woman. A woman with the potential to change the world. A woman they sought to destroy simply because they disagree with her.
The hate-mongers at Vanity Fair, and on blogs all across cyberspace, can't believe it. They've won!! They did it!!
They so harangued, demeaned, vilified, and viciously attacked Sarah Palin, husband Todd Palin and the Palin children, including a baby with Down Syndrome, that the Governor has thrown in the towel.
Off she goes! Bye-bye...or so they think and hope and, if they knew how, they might even pray.
You see Sarah Palin, and every member of her family, has been so viciously attacked and mocked and ridiculed for one simple reason: she scares the pants off of Liberal America.
They fear her. They fear her character. They fear her morality. They fear her faith. They fear her courage. And most of all they resent that conservatives everywhere respond to Sarah Palin unlike any other candidate since Ronald Reagan.
Sarah Palin may be done. She may simply walk away and choose to protect her family from all the lies and hate.
But if you listen to her speech, which the left has also ridiculed mercilessly, you'll find some hints as to what Palin me up to.
She mentions working from the outside. The message I hear is that the left had best, in the words of VP Biden, "Gird Your Loins".
I think Sarah has had enough. I think she is fed up, and sick and tired or it all. All of the hate. All of the attacks. And most of all, she is sick and tired of having to respond from the position of considering the people of Alaska first. Without the title of Governor, and working as a citizen, she is free to be Sarah "Barracuda" once more.
Has the left, blinded by the rush of joy, forgotten that Sarah Palin has started Sarah PAC? The words and phrases used by Sarah Palin in her resignation speech very closely mirror the words she uses to describe her PAC.
From SarahPAC.com:
"Dedicated to building America's future, supporting fresh ideas and candidates who share our vision for reform and innovation."
"SarahPAC believes America's best days are ahead. Our country, founded on conservative principles and the fight for freedom, must confront the challenges of the 21st century with integrity, innovation, and determination."
"SarahPAC believes energy independence is a cornerstone of the economic security and progress that every American family wants and deserves."
"SarahPAC believes the Republican Party is at the threshold of an historic renaissance that will build a better future for all. Healthcare, education, and reform of government are among our key goals. Join us today!"
The left, the haters, the attackers, are all woozy from their perceived victory over Sarah Palin. The reality of where Sarah Palin might be heading hasn't yet sunk in.
Soon the left will realize that they may have pushed Sarah Palin and her family too far. They may have ensured that Sarah Plain will use her celebrity, her influence and her star quality to further SarahPAC.
If she does, she will be able to change the Republican Party and she can become the central figure around which the conservative movement in America can rally.
Sarah Palin has the ability, the appeal and now, thanks to the haters, the freedom to become the one who pulls all the grassroots conservatives together.
I believe that Sarah Palin is mad as hell and she's not going to take it anymore. That should be a very sobering thought for the currently victory-drunk liberal left everywhere because I have a feeling that Sarah Palin hits what she aims at. The left and the RINO's in the Republican Party, too would be well advised to remember that age old adage: "Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned"
