Many of you have enjoyed the Christian Poetry writing of Miriam Jacob, found in the Faith Section of The Cypress Times. What you may not know is that Miriam is also the founder of “Anointed for Christ Ministries” now a world-wide ministry serving God. The motto of “Anointed for Christ Ministries” is “Christ Must Triumph”.
Miriam Jacob had not originally intended to begin a ministry, but as is often the case, God had other plans. This is the story of Miriam Jacob and the story of the birth of a ministry which now spans the globe.
It all started on July 20, 2006 at 5.58pm with the click of a button. A friend suggested that Miriam Jacob should create a website for her family and friends, titled "Miriam's Christian Family."
Miriam started the website and made the first post, updating the site daily with Christian articles, poems and quotes. Her cousins came from all over the world to join the website, becoming its first members. Friends soon joined the site and people from 143 countries in five continents started to visit on a regular basis. 154 people joined the website as members. An international writer’s community was formed.
A publishing ministry was launched in faith. The articles and poems of 80 Christian authors and poets were published on the website. The works of graphics designers, artists and photographers were added to the site. Musicians, singers and songwriters enhanced the website with their musical creations.
A wealth of Christian articles, poems, e-books, devotions, songs, graphics and paintings were published for God's glory and honor. On April 1, 2008, the website was named "Anointed For Christ Ministries".
The Aims and Doctrines of “Anointed for Christ Ministries” are:
(1) Anointed For Christ Ministries believes in the Bible as the Living Word of God, and the proclamation of our Lord Jesus Christ who works miracles, shed His blood on the Cross, rose bodily from the dead, and transforms the lives of anyone who accepts Him as Lord and Savior.
(2) Anointed For Christ Ministries sounds a clarion call to the world - "A crucified and a risen Christ will forgive sins, and give the assurance of salvation to all who seek Him. This glorious experience can be yours if you will open your heart by faith to Jesus Christ.
(3) Anointed For Christ Ministries preaches the Bible and Christ crucified to save us from our sins and to give us new life. Our mission is to preach the Gospel, depending on Christ's promise: "It is not you that speaks, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you."
(4) Anointed For Christ Ministries believes in God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Spirit.
“Anointed for Christ Ministries” is comprised of several different platforms found on the Internet.
