Jehovah God, Father of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
You are the Only God; there is no other. We belong to you. You made us. You sustain us daily by your power and through your love. Because you are holy, you want us to be holy like you - to walk in a manner worthy of you and your sacrifice.
You were not a victim on the cross; you were the victor. You weren't required to walk that road; you chose death and resurrection for us to save us from pain and destruction. You willingly walked into suffering to defeat your enemy, who is also the one who prowls about like a roaring lion searching for ways to destroy each of us.
Satan hates us; you love us.
You give each of us the right and power to reject him and choose you and eternal life. Our salvation comes through no one but you; it doesn't even depend on our own actions. It's impossible for us to please you and make it into heaven by our own good deeds. It requires belief and faith in you, Jesus. That's all. When we choose to submit to you as Lord of our lives you instantly translate us into your kingdom and set us on the road to eternal life.
We submit ourselves to you today. We will live for you and be continually grateful for the great blessing and privilege of knowing you. We pray this in Jesus' name, amen.
