Why is it that if you believe in the Constitution, want the government to follow the Constitution, not pass laws that are un-Constitutional, and in the words of Representative Walt Minnick, Idaho decide it is acceptable by saying, “That is what the Supreme Court is for,” are you for some reason labeled “extremist”. But, if you are the President of the United States, a Marxist, a Muslim, and not all that bright when it comes to making unscripted remarks, like asking the American public to not leap to conclusions when a radical Muslim kills thirteen people and wounds thirty seven more, after being investigated for making homicide bombing threats, and espousing jihad against your employer, the US Army, you are the voice of reason. Why? Is it due to a climate of political correctness or is there more to it than that?

While political correctness has risen from the Alinsky style attacks of the leftists in America, it is merely a nuisance in this instance. The reality of the situation is such that the state run media, or main stream media if you will, controls what a vast majority of America sees. If you have cable or a satellite dish, you have choice in news programming. If you have an antenna in the air, you are stuck with the state run media of ABC, CBS and NBC. The state run media is not the news media of integrity and facts. There are no real journalists to be found on the news any longer. The news providers are entertainers, who offer you their perspective on the news, by not presenting the facts, but by carefully showing you what they want you to see, combined with the language of leading you towards their conclusion.

Keep in mind that there are opinion shows on all news networks and if identified as an opinion show, there is nothing wrong with that, as long as they are honest. The problem is when the news shows offer opinion by slanting what the viewers see, through the use of altered or limited imagery and language that is leading and coercive. Identifying the problem is easy. All of the state run media, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, Headline News and NPR cut out the first couple minutes of B. Hussein Obama’s speech about the Ft. Hood terrorist attack, as it made Obama look insensitive and appear to be the man-child that he is. The real problem comes in how to deal with it.

Aside from getting your news from alternative sources, I urge all Americans who believe they are smart enough to make up their own minds, form their own opinions and act on them, to boycott all of the state run media stations and newspapers, all of the time. We must also call them what they are: State Run Media. Organize local protests of your media outlets, be visible, be vocal and make sure people know why you are there. Let’s face it, the state run media will not report it. Freedom of the press comes with an obligation to report the facts, unbiased. It is a moral and ethical violation for journalists and editors to do less and we must call them on it every time.

Here's Obama's quote again:

"Many other Americans have Muslims in their family, or have lived in a Muslim-majority country — I know, because I am one of them."

One of "them": i.e. one of the people who have Muslims in their family, or who have lived in a Muslim-majority country, both of which are true for him.

How can you possibly read this as a confession of being a Muslim himself, except through intentional bias? You're so used to thinking of Muslims as "them" that you're not looking at what he actually said.

Bear in mind also his many other explicit statements that he is a Christian. You have no reason arbitrarily to disregard those in favor of a twisting of this statement to say something it doesn't.

On citizenship: I will not let your mealy-mouthed "Oh, I don't know whether he's an American citizen or not" rubbish stand. If you want to claim that he could be not a citizen, in spite of his birth certificate, then answer my question as to why it makes sense. If not, then concede that he is a citizen. Don't take the coward's route of retreating from reality when you'd prefer not to admit it.

Last, on Marxism: explain how the laws he is trying to pass, within a capitalist republic, lead toward establishing a dictatorship of the proletariat, which is what Marxism is all about. If they don't lead toward it, then his laws aren't Marxist.

Perhaps it would also help if you could suggest Democrats who are not Marxists in your head. If by "Marxism" you simply mean "adhering to the platform of the Democratic Party", then there's really no meaning to your accusation.

Zander, you broached the citizenship issue and won't let it go.

I provided you the links to the Evil One, saying, in his own words, he is a Muslim. The phrase, 'I know, I'm one of them' is good enough for me, when uttered by the Muslim in chief.

As for Marxism, even the biggest watermellon head can look at the rules and laws he is trying to pass and one can see a marxist pattern, particularly when combined with his appointees. Remember, the Evil One said if you want to know who he is, look at the people around him. That would make him a racist, domestic terrorist, who hates America.

Reality....a concept liberals never seem to grasp.

...makes Obama a self-avowed Muslim. He is a self-avowed Christian, with a dad who was Muslim and several half-siblings who are Muslim.

No evidence you have presented makes him a self-avowed Marxist. Other people have called him Marxist, but they're the kind of people who call any Democrat a Marxist. I have met actual Marxists, who seek to advance a dictatorship of the proletariat, and Obama shows no evidence of sharing their views. In all your columns, all you've managed to present in support of this thesis is that one of the people he hired as an adviser was a Marxist in his youth.

That's bull, Bill. You've never answered the crucial question on this matter, which is what makes it remotely believable that a heavily pregnant teenager would leave the First World and go to a Third World country wracked by civil war in order to give birth?

As for the million dollars, every president has a budget for lawyers. It comes with the territory. Only a small proportion of that has been spent responding to fatuous nutcases like Orly Taitz.

I don't have contempt for free speech. I have never called for any of your columns to be suppressed. I do have contempt for your speech, as I do for anything that is as poorly reasoned as what you write.

Truth, not twisting....

I have no prejudices about Obama. I have never met him. I do not like his policies. He is a self admitted Muslim. He is an avowed Marxist, his czars, cabinet and policies speak for themselves. He might be a foreigner, I don't know. He won't prove he isn't and has spent almost a million dollars covering up his records.

None of the above is untruthful. Why is it that liberals call conservatives liars? Oh, that's right, Alinsky's rules say to.

If you have contempt for my behavior, which you have never seen, call someone who cares. I have never cared what anyone thought of me. If you have contempt for what I write, don't read it. If you have contempt for free speech, then leave America. Or, simply, let it go and get a life.

Did I say you were racist? No.

I simply said that you have prejudices about Obama. More precisely, you have prejudged him to be a Marxist, a Muslim and a foreigner, and therefore twist what he says and does to fit into that pre-made frame. None of that necessarily has anything to do with his race, but it's still untruthful and contemptible behavior.

I have never made a threat in my life. Threats are idle statements one has no intention of following. That was a promise.

If you want to earn my respect, try not threatening me with violence, as you did in the comments on your second "Petition for the Redress of Grievances" column. Refraining from doing that would go a long way.

Sure, I get sarcastic, especially when you are untruthful; but who else is going to call you on it? I just don't see your conservative friends taking you to task when you twist the truth.

If that's the nature of your evidence that Obama admits he is a Muslim, then every time in the future that you assert, wrongly, that he does, I will challenge it. It's pathetic to try to twist what he said - which has a perfectly natural interpretation - into something that justifies your prejudices.
