There are two schools of thought on this subject and they are directly at odds with one another. The first school of thought is that the pulpit should never be used to espouse politics. The alternative school of thought is that the pulpit is the very place for partisan politics. I believe there is a third way, an honorable way, a Christian way for those who speak from the pulpit to lead and set the example. Do not be afraid to use the pulpit to address political issues, but do not be blind while doing so.

As a Christian, it is your obligation to use the pulpit in America to defend Constitutional and political values. America was founded on Judeo Christian values, deferring to God, for the rights bestowed upon us. Those who have access to the pulpit must lead by example.  Do not be shy about addressing the Islamic threat, the Marxist threat, the funding of abortion with parishioner money and any number of other issues that are wreaking havoc upon the lives of the folks who look to you for guidance. Your challenge, your obligation, as a Christian Leader, a Christian Warrior, is to empower and motivate those who look to you as a leader and to do so without the partisan fervor that so often accompanies political discussion. You have a responsibility to demonstrate that political debate can be done as a civil discussion and be tied to the bible and the word of our Lord and Savior. Do not be afraid to lead.

The American people, the well over seventy percent of our population that are Christian, are counting on you to lead them in this time of crisis. The secular progressives, the Godless few are hoping you continue to remain silent. Silence is consent, it always has been and it always will be. Do not worry about losing people. You may lose a few. So what? Those souls were lost already. You will gain others, as word spreads that there is a man or woman willing to address our nations problems as they relate to the bible and Christianity. Either step up or step aside and allow someone else to use the pulpit for what it is intended to be used for, the defense and spread of Christianity.

You, as Christian Leaders have a moral and ethical obligation to lead those who attend your church. Failure to address the issues head on and instill a Christian obligation into those who look to you as an example, as a role model, in these trying times, is the ultimate betrayal of our Lord and Savior. Being politically correct, walking the razors edge and not wanting to take on the issues of America from your pulpit are part of what has gotten us where we are today. It is up to you to help get us out of this mess. If you did not come to the pulpit to help people and lead, then why did you do it? It is time for you to do some soul searching, and hopefully find it within yourself to either lead us from this pit of fire or step aside so that others can.

This year, 2010, will either be the year of the Christian Warrior, or will be remembered as the year Christianity shied away from victory and let Godlessness reign supreme. I ask each of you reading this to give a copy of this the person who has the pulpit at your church and ask that they exercise their responsibilities to you and the others who worship there.
