We are honoring a unique and creative patriot today, he is the President of Max Motors in Butler, MO. I first learned of Mr. Muller through my husband when he came home from work one day. He got me on the computer and told me to go to YouTube, saying there was something I had to see. There was Mark interviewing with a reporter on CNN. He was superb in his representation and extremely quick-witted. I would say he did an exceptional job and took over the interview, standing out far beyond the reporter. They interviewed him based on his sales promotion, “God, Guns, Guts, and American Pick-up Trucks”, where he gave away an AK-47 with each new car purchase.
Mark Muller, born in Amoret, MO, was raised an All-American boy in a beautiful and very loving home. He attended Raytown South High School and wanted to be a salesman as a youngster. Mark has fond memories of his childhood, spending time with his mom and dad and showing their horses. Being raised on a Christian foundation, based on God, Guns, Country, and Guts. This must be where his creative slogan came from for his recent sales promotion. I asked Mark what one thing he remembers most that his parents said as a child. Mark remembers this, “They just took the silver out of the money”.-1965 Mr. and Mrs. Muller.
Mr. Muller had the greatest influence on Mark as he made his way from boyhood to manhood. Mr. Muller must be one honorable, outstanding man, because it appears that Mark has turned out to be quite remarkable. Mark says he was born a Christian, never questioned the faith, but was born again in 1972, reclaiming it. He was raised to respect this country and the people who protect it. Mark says, “I've always been proud to be an American. Started off with liberal tendencies, but with age comes wisdom. Reagan was a strong influence in my embrace of conservative ideals and I became a die-hard conservative when my children were born”. He flies Ole' Glory everyday proudly. Mark feels that the most important thing for Americans to hold on to is the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
When asked if he feels that America has changed in any way since he was a child he responded, “We’ve changed greatly, we’ve taken God out of everything and it has become a disgrace”. Mark is an avid hunter, enjoys farming and being in the great outdoors. He is involved in numerous community and mission projects as you could have guessed. Mark seems like the type of person that is willing to give of himself and not think twice. Mark says, “In America you can be anything you believe you can be. You must believe to achieve. Ever since I was a little boy, I wanted to be a salesman. When I was 18 I started selling cars and I knew I wanted to be a car dealer. You can do anything in America you want if you just put your head down and you go to work. The only person in America who can hold you back, is the person looking at you in the mirror.”
When I spoke with Mark on the phone, the All-American attitude shone through. His energy was strong and confident. His beliefs and faith in this country are electrifying and highly contagious. We need more people like Mark in our society, who stand firm in their beliefs and are not afraid to speak openly about them.
