I choose you, God,
when the going gets tough.

As people of Christ
we’re never alone
but always a part
of a beautiful song,
a song so compelling
so moving, so light...
There are times when I am told
that life isn’t worth living,
that the world is better off
without me and whatever
I’ve got to say to people.
Thank you for this quietness
where I can speak to you.
When things get so loud
it’s nice to have this quiet,
where I don’t have to pretend
to be anything
or anyone
except the person I really am,
I am not afraid
to be who I am,
to speak out the truth,
to love my neighbor
as God tells me to,
and to die for it.
W hen the Bible talks of "the least of these"
I feel like crying
because I only have to look out my window
to see their dark eyes.
I'm ashamed of how many kids I've turned away
because they constantly want to come in,
get a drink, talk with me, play with the puppy -
the inconvenience and extra dishes somehow trumps
everything.

For the trail of The Blood
That we might follow
How unimportant are people?
We meet them,
We fellowship with them,
We love them,
We hate them,
One day, they die
And, we miss them terribly.
He awoke Sunday quite depressed
Reminded of what lie ahead
Not looking forward to going anywhere
He had rather sleep late instead
They say real men wear pink.
I say real men wear pink
with JESUS on the front.
It’s alright.
Lift your head
and look into my eyes.
The pain you are suffering
will only last a moment.
You loved me, Lord,
even when I didn’t
love You,
even when I didn’t care for You,
even when I went on
my own
and did whatever I wanted
just to please myself,
when
I could’ve cared less
of what people thought of me.
sometimes
I want to sink to my knees
and cry.
sometimes
at the end of the day
I wonder if it wouldn't be easier
to never know of these lives,
to maybe hide behind a tall fence and manicured lawn
and only read about such brokenness
on some
woman's blog.
Lord, you are magnificent,
Your glory shines all over the earth,
You have given me greater joy!!!!!
The joy of knowing you better
in a more intimate kind of way.
Love is amazing,
Love is beautiful,
Love is wonderful,
Love is shocking,
It is full of surprises
The forgiveness of God for our sins
Gives us wings to do amazing things
To honour God
To give him praise
