My Heavenly Father gave to me

And eyes with which to see

The world is loud and boisterous when it wants to applaud something or someone.  The noise can be deafening.  But, they want us to whisper about Christ and salvation.  What appears wrong in this situation.  We should be shouting from the roof tops the message of Christ and Salvation.

My sleep was so messed up last night.  First of all I had something on my mind that concerned me.  Someone was supposed to be at my house this morning to work off a debt for a lap top computer.  I knew he wouldn't show up for some reason.  But, I got up early and waited and waited and waited.  Nothingness sat in.  Disappointment over not getting something done that I really wanted consumed my day. I just couldn't get things together like I normally do.  I did get some things done but nothing major.  I am glad that God doesn't have reactions to my failures with this kind of feeling.  I sure do appreciate His grace being given to me in the worst of times. 

It's a process to learn to trust God.  I know this for I have lived my life learning how to trust God.   In every situation that we face we have a choice.  Do we trust Him, or do we not?  I don't want any part of my life not to have Him in it and in control.  I want to be able to trust Him in everything I face.  I sure don't want to go through anything without HIM.

As Pastor Houston preached today on what to do when you are grieving, I was reminded over and over of grievous things God has brought me through.  When I went through chemo and radiation for breast cancer, I never once asked why.  I just wanted it out and got busy on accomplishing that.

God was good enough to me to allow that to happen and I want my life to glorify Him.  I didn't even think about anything worse than that happening to me.  Several things have, though.  Emotional stuff.  But, God has been so faithful to remind me over and over what His Word says.  It is working for me and it will work for you.  Remember, you do not want evil in control of any part of your life.

I have had my share of heart pain in the past couple of weeks.   It involves one of my children who happens to be a grown woman. The great thing God is doing for me in this is my husband is standing for me. It is amazing how God can use one thing to change another one.

I can't imagine how my God and Savior deal with rejection and put downs when they are so full of love and mine is nothing compared to what they see and hear.  I am so thankful that He is with me and talks to me and gives me wisdom and helps me when I feel like giving up.

Did you know that when you think God is taking away and it seems that He is not going to leave you anything, He is actually giving Himself to you.  We tend to play on THINGS, when He is not interested in things but RELATIONSHIP.  He gives Himself when it seems He is taking and taking.  He wants us to have more of Him than anything else there is to want.  Want Him.  As much as you want life and love, Want HIM.   Watch Him Give.

God doesn't always give in the way we think.  Sometimes it looks like He is taking.   Takes a while to see how He works. 

This is a poem from 2002 when God was teaching me about how close He is to His children.  He really does whisper from Heaven.

Today was one of those wonderful services where God moved in and met needs of a lot of hurting people.  Several had lost family and one couple a baby and many were just over burdened.  The Holy Spirit began to minister and brought a wonderful time of refreshing to us all. The Holy Spirit did the sermon.

In those times when what you see is against what you believe and stand for, it's time to stand on God's Word.  That is what we are doing with JR and Sandra Craft.  The world says he will die.  We say he will live.  God has done so much in his life to let it waste away now.  We are speaking life to him in the name of Jesus.  This is the times that God's power comes flooding us and giving us strength to stand.  He is so awesome.

I have had a couple of weeks that my heart has felt pain that I don't like and don't want to feel.  People that I thought had worked through problems with me that affect us so seem to have come up with new ones.   Living a double standard is the culprit.  Being one way with me and another with their friends at my expense is cruel and produces pain that can really kick you in the gut. 

God has promised to prepare places in the presence of our enemies.  Only He knows the enemies and what to feed us. He is not surprised by any of it and He knows how to calm the storm.  I am not sure I should post this, but I know for sure I am not the only one living it.  What is so bad, it may get worse before it gets better.  I know God's grace and power is sufficient.

Did you know the joy of the Lord is our strength?  He said so!  Nehemiah 8:10.  I have so found this to be true.  If you need some extra strength to stand, get happy in Him.  Find His joy and dwell in it.  It is so strong.

I had a hindrance to my song.   God had placed such a joyful one in my heart and it was ringing.  But, all of a sudden things began to happen that kept trying to change my song.  The enemy was making enemies of people that were suppose to love and support me.  It has been rough, but I realize that God already knows and He is showing me the results of letting pain change my feelings.  I was having thoughts so unpleasing to Him.   He has changed me and my song is back on track for He is playing the music and giving me the words.

When we react to petty things, it is a device of evil to cause us to lose our focus.  We can get hung up on something small and silly and forget that God is in control of everything and fret over it until we wear ourselves out.  God reminds us it's the little foxes that spoil the vineyard.. Watch out for the petty stuff.
