I renew my faith in You,
My Lord, my God, my Savior,
Because You said You would do
That which is in my favor.
I take all thoughts of my doubt
To Your Word, so dear to me.
I take them and throw them out,
You tell me to let them flee.
I have found
The inner peace
That comes
Only
From knowing You.
Five A.M.
Finds me
Greeting,
Meeting
You.
You are waiting
On me, in the silence
Of the night.
Our time
Is holy, sacred.
Oh, God of night with moon hung high,
I gaze into Your starry
sky,
But not once do I question, "Why?"
Moment-by-moment,
Day-by-day,
My God, my Lord,
Lights my way.
Oh, be with me, forever, my God,
When asleep and wherever I
trod.
I cannot from You, one moment be,
You must stay,
always with me.
Oh, be with me, forever, my God,
Where
lilies are fair and horses plod,
While butterflies flit, pretty
and free,
Or out on the ocean, out at sea.
As I meditate upon Your things,
To my heart a gladness
it brings,
For You are all my worldly joy,
And up, my
spirit, You always buoy.
The mountaintop experience
Where You have brought deliverance,
Rings in my memory so
high,
And brings a teardrop to my eye.
You've done so
many Divine things,
To take me flying on holy wings,
That I
cannot a future see,
Alone, afraid, without Thee.
Oh, Good Shepherd,
Find Your lamb,
Bring him home,
Let him not be damned.
Gather him home
From far or
near,
Set his face
Upon Your's so dear.
I see her walking down the street
And wonder why Your hand so
sweet
Has made so slow her feet.
Her back is bowed
As if under a heavy load
As she shuffles down the road.
I see her walking everywhere,
But, why, I feel, I do not
dare,
Stop, to tell her that I care.
I want to stop
and ask her why
She always seems about to cry,
But my
actions always myself belie.
Oh help me Lord, to stop, one
day,
Instead of passing on away
And let me speak and hear me
say,
“Lady, I don’t know your name,
But you and I are
much the same,
And many times I never came,
“To stop
and ask if I could lend a hand,
Or tell you about a far-off
land,
And I have not obeyed a command
“To tell you
about my Savior’s love,
Or His Spirit, soft as a dove,
Or my
Heavenly Father from above.
In Jesus' name,
Today I pray,
Within my heart,
To
always stay,
To let me not
Forget these words,
For Jesus' heart
Will never hurt.
For this one
Man,
For all His days,
Was the perfect
One, in all
ways.
Jesus, please call me constantly,
Make Your way known to me completely.
Every second of every day,
Don't let me turn and walk away
From You. Bid me, "Come," and bid me, "Stay."
To keep away from things forbidden,
Away, with You, our lives
must be hidden.
The inner workings of our mind and soul,
Will only in You find themselves whole.
Every man's heart
is full of deceit,
Even himself, does not truly meet,
Only
on the rarest occasion,
And with the Lord's own holy
persuasion.
Breathe Your Holy breath on me,
That I may have the sight to
see
The vision, not of destiny,
But Your face, for the
joy it brings
To my heart, one of those things
That in my
soul, rejoicing sings.
Breathe Your Holy breath on me,
That I may just a pilgrim be
In this land, to have victory
When in the grip of deep despair,
I bring to You my heavy
cares.
I know that You are always there.
When I weep
and wail and cry out loud,
I know You hear my mournful sound,
And to Your heart it brings its round.
When my enemies
are closing in
With their thundering and mighty din,
Oh,
save me, Lord, from every sin!
Only He
Can lift the weight
Call you in
Open
the gate
He wants your all
No less, no more
Give
it to Him
Then close the door
When doubt and confusion do appear
Bring Your face to mine so
clear
Sweep away that fuzzy place
All mind's frustration to
erase
I know my only will is to be
God's perfect soul in
eternity,
But here on this earth I fall far short
Of
anything of that kind or sort.
