CONFESSIONS OF A CANDIDATE

America is no longer “standing at
the crossroads” of decision-making – wondering which way we ought to go. We are
standing near the edge of an abyss, and there are those among us who are trying
to push the entire nation over that cliff into an oblivion of chaos, confusion,
and an eternity from which there will be no return. If we continue down that path you will have no
values, no freedom and NO liberty whatsoever.

CHARLES LINGERFELT ANNOUNCES RUN FOR CONGRESS

And, so now, with deep conviction and faith in God, my family and
America - and the freedoms we have endeared here for so long, I am
'Driving down My Stakes' to build a Campaign of trusted volunteers for
this enormous 'fight!'

Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson
occupies that position currently and has for many years. It is my
intention to beat her in the 2010 Campaign and become the first
Republican in many years to 'occupy' that position in the House of
representatives.

KURDISTAN'S SPECIAL STATUS IN THE WORLD

The Iraqi Kurds have succeeded in presenting a united front of two main
political blocks: the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP)and the Patriotic
Union of Kurdistan (PUK). The Kurds have secured a largely autonomous
Kurdish region in the North, and have achieved a prominent role for
Kurds within the national government. Barzani leads the Kurdish
regional government, and Talabani is President of Iraq.

ARRIVED IN KURDISTAN, PART 2 – ON THE GROUND IN NORTHERN IRAQ

After Chacker and I helped to get the young Iraqi driver and his
tanker-truck turned around, we both got back into the Taksi to make our
way on to Dohuk. I could tell that morning was breaking right away
because of the brisk morning air. It wasn't uncomfortable, however, to
me in my short-sleeved shirt, nevertheless, the morning air was cool.

PASSING THE TORCH TO A NEW GENERATION

Saturday, 11 April 2009

Today I spent a couple of hours, or so, with two of my former students: Josef and Aged. Aged's name is pronounced 'Ageed.' He is the young Kurd in the picture here with me that I have attached.
Josef is the young Assyrian Christian whom I met two years ago in my Class at the Kurdish American School.
