BRENHAM, TX - This annual
event scheduled for
Saturday, April 14th
starts off at Brenham
High School in scenic and
historic Washington
County. The Trestle Trail
guides runners through
Brenham’s beautiful
countryside. Paved,
winding roads take you
past rolling hills
covered in Bluebonnets.
It's fun for kids and
adults alike - especially
after crossing the finish
line where you get to eat
all the Blue Bell you
want!
Started in
1978, this race benefits
the Brenham High School
Athletic Program. Brenham
High School athletes
serve as volunteers for
the race to benefit
numerous winning athletic
programs, including
baseball, track, cross
country, golf,
volleyball, football, and
more. For the last
several years, Brenham
High School has been in
the top 10 high schools
in the Lone Star Cup
Competition.

We can all
be a little immature,
especially when it comes
to our
children.
Blinn
College Theatre Arts
explores that idea with
“God of Carnage,” an
award-winning play that
tells the story of two
sets of parents who meet
to resolve a conflict
that began with an
altercation between their
children. But as the
evening progresses, these
“civilized” parents grow
increasingly
childish.
“All
four characters are very,
very selfish,” explains
Blinn Theatre Arts
Director Bradley Nies.
“They’re really very nice
and friendly at the
beginning, but by the end
it’s just chaos.”
